Continued School Closure Letter
Linn County R-I School District has extended the current closure through Friday, April 24th. The situation will be reevaluated at that time and a final decision on extending the closure beyond that date or resuming on April 27th will be made by April 23rd.
Students will continue to be provided with educational resources to reinforce concepts during this time. Students are highly recommended to complete this material. Parents are strongly encouraged to ask their children to use the Chromebook for educational purposes only. It is vital for your student to complete assigned activities to ensure success when the Linn County R-I School returns to regular session.
The Linn County R-I facilities will remain closed to students, parents and community members during this time and all school related activities are cancelled or postponed. At this time, we have not changed the date for any of the senior events, including graduation. If those dates will need to be changed, the community will be informed as soon as any decision is made.
We will continue to monitor the situation and adjust our plans as necessary. Please continue to check the Linn County R-I website (www.linnr1.k12.mo.us) for updates and cancellations. These plans may change as this pandemic takes its course. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this unprecedented time.
If the school can help out in anyway, please contact Ryan Livingston (rlivingston@linnr1.k12.mo.us) or Candi Gray (cgray@linnr1.k12.mo.us).
Sincerely,
Ryan Livingston
Superintendent of School
